Codicil substituting new executor for the deceased one
This is a codicil to my last WILL and TESTAMENT, which was made by me X on the .. day of .., year.
WHEREAS in my said WILL, I had appointed AB to be one of the executors and trustees thereof.
AND WHEREAS, the said AB having died on date, I am desirous to substitute AB by CD of address as the new executor / trustee in place and instead of AB. Now, by this codicil, I revoke the appointment of the said AB and appoint CD as the new executors. I also hereby declare that on my death, my WILL be read out, interpreted and construed and understood all along as if the name of the said AB has been inserted in my WILL instead of the name of AB. I do ratify and confirm my said WILL in all other aspects.
