The Internet Service Providers Association of India was established in 1998 with the objective to promote Internet such as e-commerce, e-governance, health care and distance learning etc. and broadband in India. ISPA is dedicated to promote the benefits of internet for service providers. ISPA has played an important role in monitoring the privatization process. ISPA has brought about constructive changes in the internet policy through regular interaction with various government departments, other industry associations and media. ISPA constantly endeavors to take up and resolve issues that affect implementation of the ISP’s project. ISPA has been a member of the TRAI task force.
ISPA is one of the first associations in Telecom/IT sector which adopted a self regulatory code of conduct to enunciate and maintain a high standard of ethical and professional practices in the field of internet including obligations to law, public, customers and own profession.
