Agricultural Zoning:
Communities aiming to run their agricultural industry as an economically viable outfit use agricultural zoning.
Agricultural zoning limits the non-farm use of land resource. It also reduces the density of development and congestion by purposely setting a large minimum mandatory lot size for residential structures. As a result, farming communities do not get fragmented or scattered by residential development.
However, densities may vary according to the type of agricultural operation.
In many jurisdictions or states, agricultural operations within agricultural zones only qualify for government incentives, subsidies or tax benefits and rebates.
Rural Zoning:
Rural zones are large tracts of farmlands with facilities for raising livestock especially cattle.
In certain jurisdictions this designation includes residences meant to allow horses or cattle.
