The primary objective of the Morris K. Udall Scholarship foundation is to augment consciousness of the significance of and encourage the advantage and enjoyment of the natural resources of the US.
Other significant objectives of the foundation are:
- categorize serious environmental concerns
- encourage Environmental Policy Research
- make the mass conscious of contemporary environmental issues
- develop a scientific process to train and educate professionals about environmental hazards
The foundation is located at Tucson, Arizona. The functioning of the foundation is controlled by a board of trustee comprising of thirteen members of which eleven enjoy a voting right. The President of the University of Arizona is a member by default who performs the role of a nonvoting, ex officio affiliate. The chairperson of the President’s Council on Environmental Quality is the other nonvoting, ex officio member.
