The Department of Labor is authorized within the discretion of the Secretary of Labor to make special statistical studies relating to employment, hours of work, wages, and other conditions of employment to prepare from its records special statistical compilations and to furnish transcripts of its studies and other records upon the payment of the actual cost of such work by any person requesting such study.
All money received by the Department of Labor in payment of the cost of such work is deposited to the credit of the appropriation of that bureau or other agency of the Department of Labor which supervised such work and is used in the discretion of the Secretary of Labor.
