FBI

The FBI or, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is the main crime detection and investigation wing of the US Department of Justice.

The FBI was created in 1908. It was formerly known as the Bureau of Investigation or, BOI. The name Federal Bureau of Investigation or, FBI was incorporated in the year 1935.

The FBI is headquartered at D.C. It has 56 field offices across almost all major cities of the US. The FBI believes in the dictum "Fidelity, Bravery, and Integrity." The FBI also maintains almost 50 international offices, known as "Legal Attachés," in various U.S. embassies located worldwide.

According to the US Code, "The Attorney General may appoint a Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation."
