The Comptroller General of the United States makes the audit, review, and evaluates the implementation or the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act by the Agency for Consumer Advocacy.
The Comptroller General prepares and submits to the Congress a report on his audit conducted which shall contain, but not be limited to, the followings:
an evaluation of the effect of the activities of the Agency’s consumer representation activities;
an evaluation of the effect of the activities of the Agency on the efficiency, effectiveness, and procedural and technical fairness of affected Federal agencies in carrying out their assigned functions and duties;
recommendations concerning any legislation which he deems necessary, and the reasons therefore, for improving the implementation of the objectives of this Act forth in
Copies of the report are furnished to the Administrator of the Agency for Consumer Advocacy; the Chairmen of the Senate Committees on Commerce and on Government Operations, and the Chairman of the Committee on Government Operations of the House of Representatives.
