The Companies in UK have 3 types of meetings. These are:
General meetings, wherein the shareholders authorize or approve matters that are specified in the Articles or the Act. The first AGM is to be held within 18 months from the date of incorporation of the company. Thereafter it can be held at intervals, which is not more than 15 months. An extraordinary general meeting can also be held if the matter to be discussed is of utmost importance and it is any meeting other than an AGM. Such extraordinary general meetings are held in between two annual general meetings.
A particular class of shareholders can also hold meetings
Decisions relating to management of the company are taken in board meetings
